Gohar Lake
Gohar Lake is one of the most beautiful places in Lorestan, which is known as the largest salt lake in the country. Despite the trout and the high peaks of Oshtrankouh, this area will be the best choice for fishermen and mountaineers. One of the reasons that this lake has remained pristine and untouched so far is the lack of a motor road. Gohar Lake, with its trees such as willow and flowering shrubs, has stunning views in spring and summer.
The area of Gohar Doroud Lake is 85 hectares. The maximum depth of this lake in some areas even reaches 28 meters. Gohar Lake is located on the main Zagros fault, and some experts believe that it was caused by an earthquake. Gohar Lake as one of the most beautiful places in Lorestan is located in the protected area of Oshtrankooh, and on the border of Aligudarz, Doroud and Azna.
Even if you do not know anything about Lorestan, you have probably heard the name of the Falakolaflak castle. This castle is the most prominent symbol of the city that is remembered from the Sassanid era. Its location is on a hill overlooking Khorramabad, and for this reason it can be seen from almost everywhere in the city. This mysterious fortress has been used by various rulers from the time of Sassanids to Qajar, and its name has been changed at least three or four times!
Khazineh valley, as one of the sights of Lorestan, has been created naturally due to years of erosion. This area is very similar to the American Grand Canyon and the tallest suspension bridge is built on it.
This valley, which is located in the middle of Poldakhtar-Andimeshk road, crossed the Seymareh river due to years of erosion, and is one of the most beautiful natural attractions of Lorestan.
Khazineh Suspension Bridge is the tallest suspension bridge built in Iran and the Middle East, and its length is 112 meters. This bridge is about 85 meters above the ground, and its entrance is 80 meters. Russian wood and cable rope were used to build this bridge.
Horseshoe Page is one of the sights of Lorestan in Khazineh Valley, where the middle rock is surrounded by water, and has become a horseshoe due to water erosion over time. Despite the river, this region has a very mild and pleasant climate in spring and summer, so we suggest you choose these two seasons if you plan to travel to Lorestan sights such as Khazineh Valley.
The attractions of Lorestan and its extraordinary nature are all inexhaustible, and each has its own unique beauties. Shirez Strait, 50 km from Kuhdasht city, is one of the different sights from other natural landscapes of our country. The way to reach it is paved with colorful flowers, and after passing through the stone wall, the walk to the strait begins.
The river flows into Seymareh in the middle of the strait, and their next destination is Karkheh river. At the end of the route you will reach a pristine plain which is a great place to relax. But this is not the end of the road, next to the cave is 150 meters long, from which only 20 meters of sunlight is visible.
We suggest that you do not go to the cave barefoot, and bring extra shoes and clothes with you to change your clothes after getting wet in the river.

Due to the geographical location of Lorestan, it is one of the mountainous regions of the country, so autumn and winter will be cold. The best time to visit Lorestan is late April and early May. That is, when the weather is mild and cool and all the plains are full of flowers and greenery.
