The North of Iran has a climate, unlike any other region in the country. The mountains topped with green valleys and packed forests as far as the eyes could see. Gilan is one of the most famous of the northern provinces. Most locals prefer to spend their vacation time in one of Gilan’s many vacation spots and escape the busyness and headaches of city life. Masal county, in particular, offers some uniquely breathtaking attractions.
On this 2 days and 1-night tour, you will get to see some of Masal county’s most popular villages. The first must-see location is, of course, Masal City itself. The city of Masal is located near the Talseh mountains, very close to the edge of the Caspian Sea. The name literally translates to “The city of the mountains.” The city is host to some fantastic local food options along with several natural attractions such its many nearby forest caves and caverns.
The second highlight on this tour is none other than the elevated village of Olas-Belan-Gah, otherwise known as Tanian village. Located 25km from Masal, this village is a perfect summer and autumn destination. Massive rolling sea clouds from the Caspian bathe this beautifully pristine pasture land throughout the year. Once in the lush, green mountains, you will lose cell phone signal, allowing you to enjoy the next 24 hours completely uninterrupted from the outside world.
Olas-Belan-Gah offers outstanding views of the surrounding mountains and valleys. Starting your journey from Masal to Olas-Belan-Gah, you will experience an elevation gain of 1800 meters in a beautiful mountainous road.
